14 DBi Antenna
Hi,

I would like to hook up a 14 DBi antenna to a Linksys router, so I can have WiFi access at the other end of my house and outside. I am wondering what the range would be for a 14 DBi antenna (clear line of site) and whether or not you need an FCC license to operate one.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Some schools are already out, but many more get out in the next two weeks, I expect it will continue to get worse!

The math relating to the proper calculations of output power of an amplifier into an antenna.

From there you can then look up what the FCC regs are regarding output power and determine if you're legal or not.
