Hey you all!
Let's just start by saying that I am probably a big newbie! I have downloaded lots of tools like Airsnort, Airopeek NX etc. but everytime I get a message about wrong drivers or whatever it is. Agere, Realtek, Atheros, Orinoco and even Hermes. I have no idea what all this is Just want to capture some packets and figure out Aircrack It seems like my Actiontec wireless USB adapter does not support these programs? Can this really be true? Should I go and by and new wireless network card? or can you tell me where I can download new drivers? http://www.actiontec.com/support/wir...usb/index.html |

I have the AiroPeek NX 2.0.2 Registered version but when I choose "File > Save All Packets" I only have the following formats to save in
apc, wpz, txt, csv, rtf and htm. and not pcap Looking for a tool in windows which can crack the WEP password in a file with lots of packets that I have capture in Airopeek? Does this make sense? |

Edit: You can try opening the CSV with Airsnort. It doesn't look like AirCrack can. Otherwise, try the text.
If you are using XP/2000, and you can capture packets with Airopeek, you should be able to do a capture with airodump/airsnort.

Did you try opening them from AirSnort? Otherwise, send a message to Devine, asking him very nicely to add the ability to import txt captures.
Is the Actiontec the card you are using with Airopeek?

I don't see how you can use the capture from Airopeek.
Ok. If you can get your card working with Airopeek, it should work with Airsnort, and Airodump. Both of those programs use the drivers from Airopeek that use the monitor mode. Airsnort can be downloaded here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/airsnort Use this guide to help you get Airsnort working: http://airsnort.shmoo.com/windows.html One thing that they do not mention in the guide, is that you need to add all of the GIMP/GTK packages to you downloaded to the SYSTEM PATH. To add all of the GTK files you downloaded to the path, right click on my computer, properties, advanced tab, Environment Variables button, System Variables section, Path line. Then add: ";(THE FOLDER WHERE YOU EXTRACTED ALL THE GTK STUFF)/BIN"
