AiroDump
At our hospital we have over 250 AP being managed thru a wireless security switch. Right now we are using a 128bit WEP key. Yesterday I downloaded the Aircarack software. It sounds like you have to run the Airodump first to collect the IV. Can anyone explain the dif options and how to use the Airodump. I would like to test this program on our wireless. We've noticed that some Doctor's offices located in our POB have installed their own AP and they are showing as rouges on our network.

As for Airodump... you just run it, select the interface and start capturing packets. It'll ask you for a name (prefix) and it will output a few different files, a .cap file (Etheral packet log) and a csv file. You then load that into aircrack and let it do its thing. You need to have a supported card, though.

Ariocrack asks you which Network adaptor. Just type a number for the one u want.
Weather u use the aironet/atheros drivers or orioco/reatek drivers which channel to scan you can say all by typing 0 or open net stummbler and find out what channel the WAP is on then it asked you output filename prefix or in english What should the file be named and thats it. When you collect about half a million packets (correct me if am wrong) then drag the .cap file to aircrack to crack that mofo |
