Association Asterisk
Before I've been heading out, TCP/IP and all other protocols are disabled for the wireless card. NS is started and Auto-Reconfigure selected. I roll. One block later and the "associated" asterisk pops up next to several nearby APs, coming and going as I travel. This makes me nervous as I think that this means that I've connected to other folks AP's.
I can look at the adapter info in the Dell Wireless Utility during this process and it shows some packets recieved but none sent and no IP address assigned. What is going on? Thanks for you time, BM P.S. My appologies to Chris and wrzwaldo for starting this query out in the wrong place. Last edited by blandman : 10-24-2004 at 01:51 PM. |
