Belkin card not detected by netstumbler
Hello,
I have a Belkin F5D6020 802.11b wireless card, and I belive that it uses the prism2 chipset (In linux it detected it as this, and with the wlan-ng drivers, it used the prism2 ones). I was able to use kismet in linux and everything worked fine. I switched to windows because if i do anything with kismet or airsnort in linux, I couldt do anything else because it took up so much of my RAM, even after I had closed them. So I put windows on, and installed Netstumbler, but it won't see my card . Is there anything thing I can try or do to make it work? It works with aerosol (sp?) but it dosent have all the features that netstumbler does.If I can't get it working, is there any other windows programs that are similar to netstumbler? Thanks, Bob |

NS will not work with that adapter in 9X.
Using Search "9X" I was able to find the following... Does this not work with Windows 98? netstumbler and 98se Linksys and Netstumbler .40 ... |

well, this is actually my second card :-\ I got a Belkin 7010 (i think) 802.11g for Christmas, but it was too new for my laptop (32bit, my laptop only supports 16). My laptop is only 100MHz, so i will upgrade my laptop before I get a new card.
Is there any other windows programs that are good for wardriving? or should i just go back to linux? |
