If I ask you how long one wavelength is at 2.4GHz is, can you tell me?

(Roughly - just use the speed of light. Don't want to get into velocity adjustments for coax/waveguide vs freespace...)

I'm trying to judge what knowledge you already have.. Not trying to be a smart ass...

Are you using plans drawn up by someone else?

Steve

Look on the outer jacket of the coax it is usually printed on it.

I would venture to guess your external antenna is providing unity gain.

A quality antenna with quality coax and connectors. Which antenna did you build? Where did you get the kit to build it?

Any chance of getting pictures or posting a link to the kit on ebay so we can see what you're working with and then we can help you out. There are multi-national users on this forum that may be able to translate the cable printing also.
