Or if you have a linksys device with the linux kernel there are several hacked firmware variations. Some will allow you to access channels that maynot be legal in your country of origin.

i installed a wireless adapter for a noname brand card and when installing drivers had the option of choosing which country and which subsequent channels were available.
using frequencies that are not sanctioned by the FCC is of course illegal, there is some european consortium too - i think they regulate signals much more strickly there |
