D-Link to Buffalo WiFi Card change problem

Hi,
I'm changing my PMCIA WiFi card from a D-Link DWL-G650 to a Buffalo WLI-CB-G54HP.
When I try to download the new Buffalo Driver software from the CD it will not complete, it keeps giving me an error and then shuts down.
I now have trouble getting my D-Link card to work but it is operating now with what seems to be part of the Buffalo software download.
Does anyone know if there is a procedure to follow when performing this changeover ?
I'm operating Windows 2000 on an IBM T20 Laptop.

Thanking You in advance,
Regards

Let me guess, the Error it gives has no text included with it, otherwise you would have been nice enough to post what the actual error is.

Try switching from SEC to AUX.
