excellent signal but no internet
since about two weeks ago something weird happened: i cannot connect to internet through my 802.11 b/g wireless lan. the signal is excellent (11 mbps) all the time, but when i try to connect it says http not found, same for yahoo messenger or skype. the wireless station i am using is an unsecured open access station. tried everything: changing the wireless settings, reinstalling the driver, even repairing windows (i am using windows xp professional sp2). i pinged the dns and ip adresses and they passed the test. i am puzzled,any help much appreciated

Your station? Neighbors station? If a ping works then you have a basic networking issue (are you pinging the local net or the internet?). Search "Networking 101"
