Question Fujitsu Siemens E-1100 PC Card

Hi all,

I live in Switzerland and ORiNOCO Cards are kinda hard to get. So I looked around what I can get in stores here and found the Fujitsu Siemens E-1100 PC Card.
It appears to be very similar to the ORiNOCO Classic Gold card.
Is it the same?

Thanks for your help & best regards
Adrian

Does it happen to have an FCC ID number? If so you can look it up. It does have the Orinoco stlye anetnna cover but that don't mean a whole lot.

The FCC ID is IMRWLPCE2411R, appears to be registerd to Agere Systems, Netherlands.
See attachments for images... (look at image nr. 2 for FCC ID etc.)

It looks very similar to these: http://forums.netstumbler.com/showthread.php?t=7823

Does it have a Hermes or Prism chipset? Hermes = good. Prism = bad.

Well, that's my required helpful (or, at least, intelligent-sounding) post for the day!

I don't yet own the card, so I don't think I can tell if it's Hermes or Prism.

One of the Cards in that thread is Agere branded - so is the Fujitsu Siemens E-1100 PC Card (or at least the FCC ID is) - so I think I can assume that it's a ORiNOCO rebrand.
Thanks for the Help.
