Garmin Nuvi 360

I recently bought a Garmin Nuvi 360 with a usb connection. I have looked all over the Garmin website and others trying to find the product information so that I can connect it with NS, but can't. I've read through most of the other threads containing info about connecting a gps, and I am completely lost. What do I do from here?

Get a proper GPS, instead of a Personal Navigation System.

The USB connection on the PNS's are normally only in order to update maps and store music or pictures on them, for those that doubles as MP3 players.

Let's take a step back. What exactly have you done? Does the GPS even work with your PC? Does it work with any Garmin programs? Can you see the output in other programs*?

In addition to those questions, look here review the required information listed in the second message and post it in this thread.

To hook up a GPS, the general procedure is to set it to the proper output**, and then choose the appropriate port in NetStumbler under the View > Options > GPS (tab.) Depending on your PC, OS, and installed software, you may have to create a virtual COM port.

Understand that not all GPS units conform to the NMEA standard. Some GPS models, including some Garmin units, are proprietary and as such will not work with NS or other programs.

*Other programs might be mapping applications or merely a terminal window that shows the output.

**Required GPS output for use with NetStumbler:
NMEA 0183 v2.1 or higher
WGS84

If that is accurate, then you cannot use this GPS with NetStumbler.
