GPS came without drivers, need a download source for a usb to serial emulation driver
I bought a cheapo USB GPS unit of ebay alot like this one...
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...723534664&rd=1 I belive it uses the SiRFSTAR II chipset. It came with no drivers, the seller wont answer my mails. I need to locate a serial emulation drive I can use with it, I've had it working on another machine with a driver that came with a program called GPS Information, but I lost that hard-drive to the click of death and am now totally without GPS. I'm on a laptop with no serial ports. I can see this question comes up alot on these forums, but despite all my searching I couldn't find a link to a driver, so sorry if this has been posted before. |

I'm sorry to hear your having problems. I did some googling, trying to find a picture/unit match to locate some drivers but no joy. However, as an alternative, perhaps you could return that unit and pick this one up, it works GREAT! And, it comes with the needed drivers. It's about $15 US more then the one you picked up off ebay. But for the quality and completeness of the unit, I'd say it would be worth it.
