Question How do I see the graph?

I've been playing around with NetStumbler 0.4.0 on a Windows XP computer. I borrowed an Orinoco Classic Gold card from a computer friend. It is scanning, but there are no access points in my area.

But that's not why I'm writing this. NS opens automatically (it seems) in the list view, which shows the SSID, names and signal strengths and all that. But I want to see it in the graph view (with the red and green bars), and I can't figure out how to make it show the graph view.

Does it actually have to see an AP to go into graph view?

How can I see everything in graph view?

Hit the little plus sign next to the name of the AP to expand the list of MAC addresses with that SSID. Then click on the MAC of the AP you want to see graphed.

Question

So I'd have to go and actually find an AP before I can see any graphs?

Do you have a plus sign next to the name of the AP? Oh wait you can't because you have not found any AP's. Here's your sign!

Yes, you have to wait until you find an AP. You cannot graph something that is not there.

You know, the whole "sound of one hand clapping", "tree falling in the forrest" thing.
