How to locate a client device?

Let's say I've identified the mac address of a wireless client from my AP logs, and now I want to fire up my laptop and go find this person. Does NetStumbler make any provision for measuring signal strength from a known client device? If not, can anyone recommend a package that will allow me to locate users as opposed to APs?

So someone defeated your encryption, guessed your un-broadcasted SSID, and spoofed a MAC address on your network and is using your Wifi?

No, someone is logged onto my secure PEAP network with an account which belongs to somebody who is not at that location. Simply disabling the account would work but would not serve to identify the offender. Thanks for asking, though.

Kill the account until you sort out the problem, add the offender's MAC to the list of denied MAC's. That will keep most people out. Chances are you're not gonna be able to track down a client machine electronically.

No provisions for that as far as I know.. and the only thing your IDS has is their MAC which can be spoofed.

You best bet would be to use Mac Filtering and EXCLUDE that MAC address.. or if you want your security tight, set it so ONLY the MAC's you tell it can access the AP/Router. This includes wired Nics as well
