I have a direct tv dish not being used...
I have a dish thats not being used and I was reading about cantennas. I saw some tutorials where they added the can to the dish, but does this help a little or a lot in gaining range?

Also whats the term or measurement when saying gain, Ive read this dbi? or db? And how is the term used?
