OK guys, I know there is probably a simple answer to this but I'm at my wit's end. I got my new Enterasys RoamAbout card in the mail today, and decided to try to enable support for all 14 channels using Alchemy. Everything seemed to go fine untill the program errored out while trying to write the PDA. I then searched thru the forums here and tried changing drivers several times hoping that would solve it. I tried the drivers provided by Enterasys, Avaya, and Orinoco. I also tried to flash the firmware on the card, but none of the flashing programs would recognise the card. Now, from changing the drivers so many times, NetStumbler will not even recognise my card as an Orinoco rebrand anymore. It automatically sticks the NDIS 5.1 driver to it, so it doesn't report noise and the signal strength is way out of whack. So now not only do I not have the 14 channel support I was looking for to begin with, but I managed to break my noise indicator as well. Any suggestions?

After much digging thru the "silver to gold" post in the hardware board, I determined the major problem was the chair-to-keyboard interface. Turns out I was using drivers that were too new for the Alchemy program to recognize. After alot of caffine and much swearing, I figured it out and manually installed the Orinoco v7.16 drivers. The flash worked like a charm. Then, after the flash, I installed the latest firmware/drivers and NS sees it as an Orinoco card again. Now off to google to find an appropriate client manager app since the Enterasys app doesn't seem to cooperate with these drivers. Many thanks to Lincomatic for the awesome Alchemy program, and also to all the posters on the board who helped point me in the right direction.

It seems that now I'm having major driver issues. The only drivers that seem to recognize the card anymore are the v7.16 Orinoco drivers, and the Enterasys drivers. The problem with this is the client manager for the Orinoco drivers will not let me configure my connection (it wants me to turn on WZC, which I refuse to use), and Netstumbler will not work with the Enterasys drivers (It always tries to stick the NDIS 5.1 drivers to it). Also the client manager for the Enterasys drivers will not detect my AP (it seems to only be looking on chan 14?). When I use the Orinoco drivers, Netstumbler will see my card as an Orinoco, but it will not detect anything. I've tried every set of drivers that I can find and nothing seems to work. Did I fry my card???
