interpreting RSSI data
Ok, Being a newb, I have a few questions about how to interpret RSSI data given in Netstumbler and other stumbling programs. as far as I can tell, RSSI is the signal strength of the AP. so how do I tell by the RSSI where the AP is, etc. any help or link to another web page or thread would be great. thanks

well, maybe im not asking the right question, as I understand it, RSSI is another measure of the SNR, and the closer you are to 0 the better, correct?
also for the GPS function in netstumbler, does it point out the location of the AP, or your location when you discovered the AP? |

Or in the case of a remote antenna it would be the location of said antenna. Which for consumer grade GPSR's is usually one and the same. |

Ok, thanks for the info, common sense told me that was the case with the GPS, but you never know untill you ask. Even after I searched the forums for both SNR and RSSI, I still dont really understand, so if s/o could point me inthe direction of a good FAQ or tutorial I'd appreciate it
