Linksys Wireless-B Network Adapter v4.0

hello, I am new on here just looking for general information on the WUSB11 v4.0 wireless usb adapter. I was first curious if anyone has cracked this thing open and found any cool ways of modifying it(pictures would be nice ). I was also wondering if anyone could tell me where to get the NDIS driver for this piece of hardware I checked linksys's site and even google, but came up empty handed. Or if anyone has gotten this adapter to work with netstumbler please let me know how cause netstumbler doesn't detect it on my system and I am not sure why. Thanks I'd appreciate any insight.

Peace

A) From Linksys. If their WinxP driver isn't NDIS 5.1 compliant, you are out of luck.
B) Because it is unsupported, just as stated in the documentation for NetStumbler.

Ya I have been searching the forums here and found several topics about this identical wifi adapter, some say they cant get it to work though and some say they can, also my friend has the exact same adapter and is running the same O/S as me and he said his works fine with netstumbler, so that is why im so puzzled.

Maybe someone can tell me if they have successfully gotten this adapter to work under Linux kernel 2.4.x. I would like to get it working with my Slackware 2.4.x machine if possible I really don't want to go to 2.6.8 or higher just to get my usb adapter to work.

That's the thing with unsupported hardware. It works for some, but not others, even with almost identical setups. The best card to use is the Orinoco Classic. Works great with both NS and Slackware. And it's 1/2 the price of the WUSB11. Look for the sticky in the buy/sell/trade forum.
