Netgear MA111 v1

I know that apparently the Netgear MA111 v2 works with NetStumbler, but does (or should) the MA111 v1 work? I have one of these, running on Windows 2000. When I start NS it asks if I want it to reconfigure the card. If I choose 'yes' and then unplug it and plug it in again, the program asks again if I want to reconfigure the card. It just carries on in an endless circle. Is there something I should be doing?

Yes, get a card that is properly supported.

So in what way is the v1 not supported? Is it supported at all?

What is it asking me? I am now pressing 'ok' after I have unplugged it, and it's picking up a peer fine. Not my access point though.
