NetGear WAG511 "versions"

I've become very confused about this card, and this is the only place I can think of to ask this question.

There are supposedly two "versions" of this card--my first question is, are there more? According to http://www.wildpackets.com/support/hardware/airopeek, Airopeek supports "Only v1.0 and v2.0."

As far as I can tell, there are only two versions. There are certainly two different makes of card:

http://www.buynetgear.com/buynetGear...es/2320924.jpg

If you look closely, (or find better pictures) it seems that protruding part of one is flat, while on the other it is wider than the Cardbus. (of course, this affects whether you can put it in the bottom Cardbus on your typical ThinkPad and still have room for something else in the top) I think that the flatter one is the new one, but I'm really not sure.

NetGear itself has been profoundly unhelpful about this. I've spoken to three members of tech support (it's ridiculous, I know, but I'm really curious) and one said "the two cards are identical in functionality" but was vague on other details, one denied the existence of more than one version, and the third left me on hold until I had to hang up.

One more strange thing about the two versions. At http://kbserver.netgear.com/products/WAG511.asp, there are three versions of the user's manual, (listed for versions 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0, but this may just mean that the manual itself has three versions) dated Feb. 2003, Sep. 2003, and Sep. 2004. The first one has a picture of the thicker card, while the later two have pictures of the thinner card. Strangely enough, the first manual advertises 152-bit WEP encryption, while the later two only list 64- and 128-bit WEP encryption. The Product Data Sheet on the website (which, by the way, has a picture of the thin card) doesn't mention WEP at all! Finally, BuyNetGear.com mentions 152-bit encryption, but has a picture of the thicker card.

This should be a very easy question to get answered, but I've become very confused. If anyone out there knows what's going on here or wants to help me tackle this problem, let me know, please.

Thank you very much.

To add to the confusion: the card for sale on buynetgear.com is a WAG511NA.
Does anybody know what the NA is for?
