Hello Im starting to learn how to wardrive around my city and I have a few question I need to ask.
First i have a laptop with XP Pro and a Linksys ( WPC54G ) Network Adapter card with net stubbler installed. I drove around the city and was able to find some Ap. My question is Since I found those Ap shouldnt I beable to log on to the net ? I disabled my tcp/ip stack and i think I turned off my WCZ. So why am I not able to connect to the net? Am I missing something ? any help would be appreciated.... ![]() |

Second question... How do you expect to connect to an IP based network with the IP stack disabled (networking 101)? If you are looking to steal bandwidth please go read this. P.S. What city are you driving around? Last edited by wrzwaldo : 06-28-2004 at 04:43 PM. |

OMFG...
You disabled TCPIP & WZC Service and you want to know why you can't use the network.. Hummmm I think you need to learn Networking 101... 2nd Issue: Netstumbler WILL NOT HELP/ALLOW YOU TO "LOG INTO" NETWORKS, THATS NOT WHAT IT'S FOR... Now go and read thru the forums, before you ask another stupid question andlook like an even bigger dumb witted noob... ![]()
