Not seeing a connection that is there?
First off, I could not find anything using the search.
I am trying to figure out why my friend was getting a terrible signal from his wireless when he was less than a few feet away from the unit. As it turns out, I unplugged the base and ihs connection is still available (I am using it right now.) This means that there is another AP that he is connecting too, and we would like to change that so that he can connect to his own. The problem is that NetStumbler is not detecting ANY access points (even the one that is 2 feet away), despite the fact that we are currently connected wirelessly to the internet. I am fairly certain the hardware is supported (the full device name - Cisco Systems PCI Wireless LAN Adapter - is listed under the 'Device' menu) I am therefore hoping that someone can either politely RTFM me in the right direction, because i found nothing in the CHM file released with NetStumbler or using the forum search. Thanks for any and all help. |
