I will be back to working on the write-up this weekend. I may post it as a Text document instead of trying to insert it as a post. It's going to be a little longer than I thought at first (I'm trying to include real details).

Just fired my systems up again today after being shut down for almost 24 hours. We had bad storms again yesterday. Another dozen or so people killed between my place and my big sister's farm 70 miles from here (where the barn gets pimped). My little sister also has a farm halfway between me and big sister. Tornadoes missed them by about 3-4 miles. Still too close for comfort.

Cheers all.

Damn. You should think about re-locating up in the Pacific NW. Darn few of them twisty things up here! (Just the occasional volcano going bang!)

I wouldn't. The coastline is 40 miles from an active subversion zone at you're due for a big one (200-400yr schedule). With a Tsunami that dwarfs the one from a few years back that was in the news. Then again you get less rain and more sun then us. North/South Dakota looks good. Probably want to stay away from Utah, ask Renderman about the speed bumps there.

Yeah I was too much Discovery Channel.

Yeah I was too much Discovery Channel.
The Dakotas are too close to the Yellowstone Super Volcano.
Yeah, I've been watching it, too.

Y'all should move out here. Our biggest natural problem is people from New Jersey.

Gotta be a pretty BIG tsunami to make it over the Cascades!

I saw it too and with the prevailing westerly’s anyone living from Kansas to Canada to the East coast will probably get covered in ash. A Nova segment I saw about five years ago showed the huge ash deposits they found in Nebraska many years ago. That started them trying to discover where it came from.

Hey guys,

Move away from all those nasty things. Florida is warm and sunny.

And hurricane season doesn't start for 53 days, 1 hour, and 47 minutes...........but who is counting.

If Yellowstone blows, ash on the ground will be the least of our worries.

Hey guys and Girls... I have not deserted you.

I am putting together a document about this project that I hope will help a bunch of people.

Being that I am still a "noobie" to this site... how do I post a Word document with screen caps so that LINUX users can see all of the stuff too?" And are MAC users shut out of seeing the graphics? I have seen that happen too.

What is the best format that I can put this in. It was composed in Microsoft
Word on a 2K OS box. Somebody please tell me... Where do I put it and in how many formats?

Make a PDF out of your word document instead, then zip it up and attach it to a post in this thread.
That way Linux, Mac, Windows, heck even DOS users can read it.

If he can't convert it to PDF himself, he can PM me, and send the file to me, I'll convert it.

Free PDF Converter

I used this without any problems and it's free. It creates a virtual printer that you print to and it makes the PDF. Does a nice job. Did I mention it's free? No spyware or adware either.

My company went and bought PDF995 so I don't use it anymore.

I have used this one daily for a couple of years, it works great.
