PocketPC 2002 + MS 0.4 + Avaya Silver
Hi. I'm using PocketPC 2002 (Cassiopeia E-200 + PCMCIA jacket), Avaya Wireless World Card 11Mb/s Silver (last drivers from Avaya Web Site, Version 7.62) and MiniStumbler 0.4. I have NOT activated the option "Reconfigure card".
I have noticed that, after a couple of minutes working great, MiniStumbler stop refreshing the list of APs. I have to extract and reinsert the Avaya PCMCIA card in order to restart detecting them (but only another couple of minutes and so on). I've read about problems with Orinoco+MS 0.3+Reconfigure in the FAQ, but that is not my scenario. Is this normal? Thanks in advance. |

PocketPC 2002 + MS 0.4 + Avaya Silver (SOLVED!)
Problem solved!
Cause was that Avaya Software was configured to autorun when pcmcia card was inserted. And that software doesn't coexist very well with MiniStumbler. So, if you exit avaya software and run only ministumbler, it works OK. When you need to connect to an AP, then you should close ministumbler and run avaya software. Hope this will be useful for others ![]() Last edited by bmjbmj : 07-15-2004 at 03:24 AM. Reason: replaced netstumbler (wrong) with ministumbler (right) |
