I believe it would depend upon the router you just happen to have.

part of deal there is that some routers contain pcmcia cards in them, search around the forum and check to see if your router happens to contain one. Then you may be able to carefully open it (at the same time voiding the warranty of course) and slip out the card. You may have to flash it (or not) and then be able to use it on your laptop. Don't take my word for it, search the forums and you will find your answers.

There are some interesting things you can do with a WRT54G (linksys) But I don't think there is anything happening with that D-Stink you have shown us.

What, a PCMCIA card?

I do not believe there is in the one you have. I believe in the A/B HW versions there was, but I havn't needed to take mine apart, because it has been working for 3 years now, with about 1 year of continious uptime

That is a lot better than the Linksys I had that kept exploding power supplies, and the netgear with the WAN port that was on the fritz.

Atleast the WRT54G has sustained the abuse I give it so far.
