Powering up a PCMCIA card w/o a laptop
Hello,
I was curious if there was a way to power up a PCMCIA card without a computer. I say this because I am curious, and if it's not possible, let me know. I was wondering if I could possibly power up an old D-Link B Card to check for wifi hotspots, as the school I go to is equipped almost everywhere with them, I just wanted to know if there was a spot without having to power up my laptop. Or is it just easier to but one of those keychains. Regards, Scippy |

No way to power up a card like that without a laptop. Buy one of the keychain things. I recommend this on made by Kensington
Good luck

It's just like a 9v battery, stick your tongue on the contacts and when John Henry goes 'boing'...there's an AP nearby.

Anyways as for the 9V battery thing... I decided to take one for the team and try it... It's tingly and tastes funny at the same time... I'm going to pass on the taser test for now... I'll leave that one for the LEOs
