This has been covered numerous times. There is no such beast.
The best all-around card is the ORiNOCO Classic Gold card. It will work with with Windows and Linux. The Linux drivers can be patched to place it in monitor mode, thus allowing packet capture. It will work with NS and kismet, and most other wireless programs. But you won't get 802.11g. If "g" is important, you won't get some one of the other things. Most of us carry multiple cards and swap them, depending on the job at hand.

If you just want "g" speeds and aren't worried about compatiblity with specific programs (like NS), there are some out there that have both Windows and Linux drivers. These will function as a standard wireless Ethernet connection. However, unless you're doing very large file transfers on the WLAN, "g" is overrated. It won't do anything for faster downloads, since the bottleneck is the Internet connection, and even the fastest consumer link is far below "b" speeds.
