So what is the problem? What do you see under "Device" in NetStumbler? Those cards "should" be the same as the Orinoco Silver.

It was moved to a more approriate place : http://www.netstumbler.org/showthrea...ewpost&t=16863
I'm hoping you can figure out by yourself, why it was moved there. Or do you want to tell us that you didn't read all the threads in the Welcome Desk section ?

I’m guessing it got put there because it was a very appropriate question.
But I didn’t get the answer that I and a few people before have tryed for and gotten nowhere..

From my explanation that WAS above, I’m guessing i’m having trouble with the drives that I have and the many that I have tried and that failed to work.

So my question remains, is there any point of me posting this, if no one can help me out in a professional and mature way to solving the problem?

No, it got put there, because you decided to disregard the rules of the forum. Those rules include using proper capitalization in your posts here. Disregard the rules at your own peril.

And if you do feel that you don't get the help you feel you deserve, then go contact the appropriate support department for the hardware you are trying to get to work. None of us here are payed to help you.

RE: (if in the attachment area it said max filesize; 50kb i would have known.)

Had you of read the rules you would have known.

In response to your question...

First drop the attitude, as what Dutch said about us being paid to help you is true (we are not). Secondly I think I had asked about what you show listed under "Device" in NetStumbler? If you want help humor me and answer the question. Do these cards work in a normal wireless network? Take a look at this thread and see if you can provide any of the pertinent information as listed in post #2.

Yes I'm fully aware that you don’t get paid for what you are doing,
That’s why I and the other people you have help appreciate the help very much!

(Wrzwaldo, Yes I had the device name in my last post.)

under the device menu I see: Roamabout 802.11 DS - Orinoco

The problem with Netstumbler I’m having is it will start scanning,
But then it will say there is no aps, And at the same time the lights on
the card have stoped flashing.
Sometimes it will start working again and say it found the access point.
But after a wile it will cut out again?
So it’s pretty much unusable.

So does the card work in a normal network environment? Sounds to me like the card is farked up. What firmware is on it? Does the card get very warm?
