SSID detected but no signal

I've seem the same problem described but no answer.

I've 1 Trendnet PCI card + 2 USB adapters for my wifi network.
All are detected by Netstumbler (AP, SSID,...).
But while both adapters get a full green circle (in the MAC column), the PCI card gets a full red circle (with a lock inside) with signal strenght at 0, though the signal is "very good" according to my card utility (and it's true !).

Is there something wrong with Netstumbler configuration ?

Confused

No!!! There is however something wrong with your network configuration.

Do you know how you have "your" PCI card configured?

Go to this post for an explaination of the NS icons.

NS doesn't detect adapters for your Wifi network.

NS detects Access Points or client cards acting like AP's (i.e being set in Ad Hoc mode with an SSID set, or setup in pseudo-IBSS mode) within the range of the client card used on the machine where NS is executed on.

As for the icon explanation of the green/red/locked circles, do a search on Netstumbler icons.

Thanks for the color code...
I've made several trials with my Draytek usb adapter, and my Trendnet PCi card with an omni 7 dBi antenna.
My house is rather old, built with stone and plaster, and the AP's room and the WIFi-connected room are far apart.
I'm surprised by the fact that the small usb device is working better than the pci card-antenna device.
On Netstumbler, the usb one gets a green circle while the pci card remains desperately red.
For both, the setting is very sensitive : few millimeters more or less in direction or tilting make very big change in signal quality.
