Stupid Question I am sure...
I am using a Orinoco Classic Gold Card made by Agere. It works flawlessly. Do I pick up on only 802.11b wi-fi networks or will it notice the "G" one and just never be able to connect to the them if allowed by owner? I never thought about this until now. Do they make cards that could do both?

Unless the "G" AP in in "G Only" mode. NS will detect both B & G with a B only card (802.11). |

G cards are not the best choice for use with NetStumbler and some other applications, mainly because of driver issues. For example, if you are trying to get true SNR readings, then most G cards are a poor choice. Few give accurate Noise readings, which throws the whole SNR off. Since you're new, you may want to do some more reading and know the facts before you give information to people which may not be accurate.
