Trying To Get A Linksys WPC54GS To Work With Network Stumbler
Hi All,
Pardon me if this is a case of RTFM. I had been using NetworkStumbler 0.4.0 - Build 554 - with my ol' Dell Lattitude running Win2K Pro, running with a Linksys WPC11 card. Things worked great. I recently upgraded to a Linksys WPC54GS. Now when I run 'Stumbler it says "No Wireless Adapter Found". &^*%$#@! I tried the Auto Reconfigure button, etc. No matter what I can think of, I can't get the new card to work with the new card (WPC54GS). A\ Going on a looong and otherwise boring drive from Tulsa to KC next weekend and would like to entertain myself with NetStumbler. I should mention: The WPC54GS card works great otherwise, except for it's abilty to be detected with Network Stumbler. I'd appreciate any hints, tips, etc. Please copy your reply to: stumbler AT pferris DOT com if you can! Many thanks! --Pete |

Ok so I did a search in the forums and found a post by Markbdfrd
" WPC54GS works with Netstumbler .4 It seems to work fine once the card is recognized by Netstumbler. If it does not get detected, I simply remove and reinsert the card and NDIS 5.1 is detected. BTW, this is the card with Speedbooster running from stock drivers on the cd dated 3/8/2004 3.50.21" I did just that removed the card and reinserted it, now NS detects it no problem Thx.
