USB adapter used like antenna????
Using a USB Airlink 3025 adapter. Question: would it extend my range to install a USB extension cable, mount the adapter on the end of the new cable extended in the air as to just having the adapter hooked direct to the USB port on the rear of the laptop??. Seems like this should improve the range getting the adapter higher and clear of objects. Any idea how long the extension could be??

Yes. A number of people have done similar things, from mounting the new thumbdrive-sze USB units in the focal points of dish reflectors to placing the older PCMCIA/USB adapters on the roofs of their cars.
Since USB has no signal loss to speak of, it works very well.
