using gps
I just bought the earthmate usb gps i have installed the companion files for usb to serial drivers and when i tr to get it to work i keep getting "timed out" on the bottom of my netstumbler it will listen for aobut 2 seconds then say that and if i am not on the i net if i have it netstumbler running i cannot use my modem to dial out can someone please help thanks in advance

Check your Comm Ports being used.

i have tried all ports it says the gps is using com4 but it says unavailable port if i put it on com3 i get listening for about 2 seconds then i get "timed out" but i dont know why it wont let me use my modem to dial out when i have it on com3

Possibly because your modem is on comm 3?

can you tell me how to change what com the gps will be on if i go to the device manager under the control panel it says com4 and i try com 4 and it says unavailable port do u have ny other solutions
