Cool wardriving in London
Yep, Its getting tough, found many connections stuck to me like glue even in tunnels, any Londoners out there.

Hmm, bad comms In what I thought would be a good place, just talking about my drive back home and commenting about the amount of connections that stayed connected even when driving through tunnels, did the same route 2 days ago without this, just wondering if any others in London had noticed this, have tcp/ip unbound. just into war driving.

Do you know connecting to someone else's wireless network without their permission is illegal?

That being said, how could you connect to anything if your tcp/ip was disabled?

I'm assuming you meant that when you were driving through areas that you thought you wouldn't discover networks, you were still discovering them, i.e., in tunnels.

No bad feelings from me. Stick around - we need some more people from the UK here; there's too many of those damn yanks. We're all just making sure that nothing illegal was going down on your way home from work.

Just as a side thought, do you use wigle?

Thanks, have no gps at mo, bought a safecom swlc-54108 works fine with netstumbler and seems to be very sensitive, often picking up stuff with no visable sources from within car with no antenna. Stopped the other day and in the space of three mins, 3 cars drove by triggering it, netstumbler reported the macs, so I can only assume these where wardrivers ?, on my journey down I record about 200 macs in ten miles of which 30% are showing no security, when I arrive at work I find 2 open networks, am thinking of trying to alert them but its just a panel of bells, anyone have any experience of doing this.

No you cannot assume that. NS will only detect a card in AD-HOC mode.
