Why predominately B cards?

I have searched and read, and for the life of me cannot figure out why the cards a majority of wardrivers use are 802.11b cards. There has to be a reason for this, even though my thinking would be that a G card would be better...or even an A card.

I can think of a couple possible explanations, but if someone could please help me out...i would appreciate it.

I don't understand how one could claim to have search and read and yet, not understand this. I think it's very clear as to why.

I believe the best work around would be to use Firefox with Adblock Plus and Filter Set G, then you can have the inturweb free of ad's.

No in fact i did not know that.

I knew that there had to be a good reason, but i have been looking all day for a definitive answer.

So B cards can see G ap's, but they wouldn't be able to connect would they? What about with WEP cracking, could you use a B card on a G network?
