I use both of my thumbs as well when I type, but I also use all 9 of my other fingers.

Oh yeah, OP, there really is no reason to 'test' if WEP can be cracked, you can take our word for it, that it can be.

Myself personally, I've never felt the need to crack it myself, seems too much like masturbation, except without the pay off.

I have no doubts that it can be done...i would like to be able to experience it myself.

I like how you guys dance all around the actual answer, when in less than 3 letters you could end the thread.

Yes you can do security testing (wep cracking) on a g network with a b card, or no you can't.

And if you expect me to believe that none of you has actually tried it, on your own AP or otherwise...your lying to me and to yourselves.

I've done it, it's posted here somewhere. I've forced wpa too. It's really no big deal. Really boring.

So B cards can see G ap's, but they wouldn't be able to connect would they? What about with WEP cracking, could you use a B card on a G network?

See, here's where you fucked up. Netstumbler, and WarDriving have absolutely nothing to do with connecting. Neither does WEP cracking. Those are questions for other sites.

Yea, it just takes too long. I also killed my usb wifi adapter, so at the moment, no I actually can't crack wep with it. The tools to do so are there though.

I've never attempted it. There was no need to do it for myself when it was posted that it had been done. If you want to call me out and say that I am lying you can go fsck yourself. Have a good day.
