Wired Connection through a Wireless Laptop Connection

Hi,

I have a WinXP laptop that is connected to the internet via a Linksys wireless router and a wifi card. I also have a linux desktop that I want to get connected to the internet as well. The router is in another apartment and running a CAT5 is out of the question and I dont have a wifi PCI card on the linux box.

Is it possible to use my laptop (Which has internet) to feed the connection to this desktop via the LAN ports on the computers and a network cable ?

If so, does anyone know what it takes to do this?

Thanks for the help!

Yes, with Windows XP, you could enable internet connection sharing.

Yeah, I'm with moving the router. Why not just move the router to your apartment?

Does beer through a sippie cup have the same effect as drinking it through a straw?
