Wireless HS
Searched the net and these forums for clues, maybe I'm just so clueless that this is just one of those common sense things that everyone knows! I live around lots of cafes and stuff. NETStumbler shows three wireless networks and one of them is g/54Mbps with no encryption and the SSID is broadcast with the name "Wireless HS". Vendor type is "Fake" and the type is "AP". Sorry for a potentially really stupid question, but, does the "HS" mean HotSpot? I'm just wondering, because I don't know where the signal is from, which is really strong, and if it's OK to use it freely. All I have at home is dialup, but my notebook has wireless, so I'd love to use that signal, but only if it's meant for public.
Thanks everybody |

You're gonna have to find that hotspot and ask the owner. For all we know it could be wireless high school, or hotel spa, or home security.... Who knows.
