Wireless Networking/Bridging Help
Hi. I am looking into bridging an internet connection from one place to another. The building are about one quarter of a mile appart with the tops of two elm trees obsurring the line of sight a little, but there still is a direct line of sight. I was going to use two Linksys WAP11's and two 14dBi gain antennas to bridge the connection. There is one computer at the building with the internet connection running Windoze XP with SP2. However, there are three computers at the building without the connection. I was going to use a Linksys switch to network them together and then uplink the WAP to the switch to get them an internet connection. That way file shareing between all of the computers would be possible. All of this would work, right? All of the computers are desktops running Windoze XP SP2, ZoneAlarm Pro5, and all have NIC's. Thanks for your time.

Cheat
Make your life easy. Get it all working with the computers in the same room, then add the WiFi. That said, it should work. Google "Internet Connection Sharing XP".

At it's widest point, the radius of my Fresnel Zone is 14.82 meters. Since the trees are very close to the antenna the actual amount of thier intrusion into the Fresnel Zone is unknowen. I'll figure something out though. And does any one know how much antenna cable it takes to lose a noticable amount of signal? Thanks a lot.
