Thanks Marius!
In case anyone has any concerns, this post in the NetStumbler release thread explains how WarDriving book is not out of date right after being published, as it cover 0.4.

I am actually interested in how this one resolves as far as the chipset/builtin with the e755. On the other note, I think that if folks hadn't started bitchin about stuff 3 horus after the release we mods would be a little less trigger happy on the RTFMs.

Sorry Dude, there is no SH4 version of Ministumbler.
I too have an Aero 8000 and love the form factor. However it has been seriously overtaken by technology's rapid march. Mine is now used by my mother in law to strt writin her memoirs. |

Viewsonic V37, PC2003, Socket SD 802.11B
I can't get MiniStumbler 0.4.0 working on this device. The "Socket SDIO WLAN" program sees the adapter, I can connect to my home wireless network with no issues.
Driver: 3.00.04.2.0056.03 NIC Firmware: 1.07.06.00 (Both latest on Socket's web site) Steps I've tried: 1) Soft reset the device 2) Insert Socket SD 802.11b Card 3) Get solid link light. 4) Tap "Socket SDIO WLAN" to confirm driver see's the card. 5) Tap "MiniStumbler" 6) Status line says "Ready", " ", "GPS OFF", "0" (I have no GPS). 7) Says "The specified" next to Ready. 8) Says "This function" next to Ready. How can I get the full text of the status? 9) Nothing appears in main panel. 10) MiniStumbler is very slow to respond to any selection. 11) MiniStumbler's "about" shows: Prism2 card support by Marius Milner Card Version: 0.00 Driver: 3.0.4 Station Firmware: 0.00 MAC Address: [address shown matches the card's sticker] 12) Close MiniStumbler 13) Tap "Socket SDIO WLAN" to check driver it shows: "Unable to connect to the Wireless NetCard. Is it inserted?" I have to soft reset the device to get it working again. |

Ministumbler and Fortuna GPSmart BT
Guys,
Ministumbler doesn't seem to recognise my Fortuna GPSmart Bluetooth GPS receiver. I've verified that the device works by running GPS software (SmartMap) on my PocketPC and connecting to the GPS device using Bluetooth. SmartMap has a built in test utility so I know the devices are communicating using NMEA0183 with serial parameters COM5,57600,8,N,2. I have configured Ministumbler to use these same serial parameters, as I know they work for SmartMap. I have also tried slowing down the speed to 19200 with no success. When I launch Ministumbler it launches the Bluetooth browser, allowing me to select the GPSmart GPS receiver, but then I get "Config Error" in the status bar and no GPS data is captured. Here's the kit and software versions I'm using: Ministumbler Version: 0.4.0 Build 554 PDA: iPAQ3970 OS: PocketPC Version 4.20.1081 (Build 13100), aka Windows Mobile 2003 WLAN Card: Buffalo WLI-PCM-L11GP WLAN Driver: Agere drivers for WinCE4 (Found in win_ce_driver_sr02-2.3.zip) GPS: Fortuna GPSmart BT GPS Protocol: NMEA 0183 Hope someone can help.
