Works pretty well with my Toshiba e740 (integrated 802.11b).
A couple of quirks I noticed (which may not be specific to the e740)... even with the autoconfigure button selected, I still had to manually change my wireless SSID to "ANY" in order to pick up AP's other than my own. Also, manually setting the scan speed above the midpoint causes some erratic detections when you set the scripting to "No Scripting". At the fastest scan speed with "No Scripting", AP's appear and disappear on every scan. |

Dell TrueMobile 1180 Works
I have a HP 2215 and a Dell TrueMobile 1180 card. I am using MiniStumbler 4.0 and I am using the Orinoco Drivers. It took me awhile to find these drivers but you can get them here. http://www.noodles4all.com/WiFi/WLCE3074.zip
If you get that card do NOT install the drivers that come with it. You will have to hard boot your PDA to get them off. And they suck anyway. Use the Orinoco drivers they are MUCH better in every way. Here are some instructions on how to do it 1. Remove Dell TrueMobile CF card from your PPC 2. Uninstall the Dell TrueMobile driver (good luck you may have to hard boot so back up first!) 3. Install orinoco driver onto your PocketPC 4. Insert the CF card into your PPC 5. When prompted with Unrecognized Card, enter WLLUC46.DLL It works great. I hope this helps others get started easier. Last edited by djmason9 : 05-15-2004 at 09:58 AM. |

IPaq 3650
Ministumbler is working great on my IPaq 3650 (CE 3.0/PPC 2000/PPC2002). I'm using the PC Card expansion pack with build in battery and the Alvarion BreezeNet PC-DS.11b card. The driver i'm using is the original Alvarion CE 3.0 driver which is available on Alvarions website. I installed the driver, poped in the card and it worked right away. Battery life is about 24 hours if careful with backlight usage.
I know that the original Orinoco driver also should work with some changes but i didn't fool with it. Alvarions original driver works fine for me. Last edited by micropitt : 05-27-2004 at 06:07 AM. |

RE: Ipaq 5550
I have had no luck with Ministumbler 0.4 using the below config. but it works fine with a netgear MA701 card
Hardware Revision : 6.3 Firmware version: 0.100.5.39 Driver Version: 3.2.4.130 Module Release Date: 02.09.05 Has anyone got any ideas as it has been posted that it works with an earlier driver version. |

Came across a post on the Aximsite that says the Dell Axim X30 with the integrated wireless works - I'm not certain if this is different hardware or different drivers - the X30 does ship with WM2003SE.
Apparently the X30 uses the Dell TM1210 so I guess the different hardware is why it works. Last edited by fordem : 06-08-2004 at 04:56 PM. |

I have a IPAQ 5450 and ministumbler works (sort of)
OS: WM2003 My Asset Viewer for WLAN says: Hardware Version: 6.3 Firmware Version: 0.100.5.39 Driver Version: 3.2.2.96 Module release date: 02.09.05 But ministumbler doesn't detect as many AP's then wififofum. Wififofum detects up to 3 times more AP's then Ministumbler. |
