Thumbs up Axim / D-Link / MS 0.4

Works like a charm:

Axim X5 Advanced PPC2K2
D-Link DCF-660W
MS 0.4

Works with my 2210 ipaq and DCF-660W, really well. Only problem is I can't obtain an ip address on my home network, my suspision is that I have disabled the ip stack as recomended in Wardriving: Drive, Detect, Defend, So no big deal as I enjoy wardriving more than surfing the internet on my ppc. Great program marius, and great book chris, thorn, & mother. Alot of learning going on here.

Zonet ZCF1100

My IPAQ 3870 and a Zonet ZCF1100 work very well with ministumbler .4. I used the Zonet ZCF1100 driver found on the US site.

Configuration:
IPAQ 3870
MS Pocket PC version 3.0.11171 (Build 11178)
Network driver 2.00.03 Date July 2 2002
Configuration Utility version 2.00.02 Date July 2 2002
NIC Firmware version 1.03.06
Ministumbler 0.4

Ok after going through hell to get the appropriate drivers (Prism 3.0) and going thru 2 failed installs I managed to get the SMC 2642w up and running on my IPAQ 3955...

At this point I have managed to get WiFiFoFum, PocketWinc, and MiniStumbler working with NO PROBLEMS. Anyone know of a good packet sniffer to use?

Airscanner works on PPC 2K2 only, other than that take a look at vxSniffer from cam.com. Or Pocket WiNc from Cirond.com.

The D-Link card appears to have a very sensitive receiver. On the way to work, I was able to find 100 APs, with my iPaq inside the cab of my truck. I am not sure that I have seen this good of results when using my Orinoco Gold, iPaq 3765, and an external mag mount wireless antenna.

Are you using PPC2003 or PPC2002
I have an Acer N10 with PPC2002 and DCF-660W which will only be recognised by the system if I use version 1 driver. NS does not see the card "No Wireless" is displayed at the bottom.
Also when I reinstal the driver I have lost my utility in system menu.
Any ideas?

Working how...through the internal wi-fi or with an SD card since that slot on the X30 is sdio. I'm sure that those that can't get it to work are very interested in hearing what you did since internal wi-fi is finicky with MS and sdio support is limited.
