Senao website "404 error"
The link to the Senao website only offers a "404 error".
iPaq 3850 with Pocket PC 2003 (or WINCE 4.0). Would anyone know of a wireless card that works with this setup. Also, would I be correct in assuming that some wlan cards will work with ministumbler 0.4.0 even though the manufacturer doesn't supply Win CE drivers?? Thanks for you help Quote:

Or at least that invalid link...
May I also suggest you get familiar with this site so you can post in the proper forum. And while you are at it give the search feature a try. http://www.senao.com/ Last edited by wrzwaldo : 11-23-2004 at 11:28 AM. |

I use the Dell TrueMobile 1180 CompactFlash card. Also a very good one and supported by every wifi-tool a came across so far. The Dell wireless utility that comes together with the card has the feature to connect to every available network. So you just have to walk around an when a network is detected it asks for connection. In the same utility there's a menu item called 'Site Monitor...' which does the same as MiniStumbler. Of course MiniStumbler rocks... ...(GPS, more detail, more extensive,....)Greetz, MisterX --------------------------- Merged into proper thread. Last edited by G8tK33per : 11-24-2004 at 03:47 AM. |

Sandisk 256MB SDIO+ Wifi successfull!
Hi everybody,
I've seen a lot of people on this site with the same problem I had... MiniStumbler doesnt work "well" with the sandisk 256MB SDIO+Wifi card. I had the same symptoms like, only finding the first AP and then not finding any more... Also had it that it only saw AP's I was assosiated with and whatever else.. allthough I saw the sandisk wasnt officialy supported, I'm a stubborn and wanted to see WHY it didnt work.. I thought here should be a way since it DOES recognize the first AP or AP's i'm assosiated with... I found a tool on wififofum.org that disables the WZC .. Guess what, the moment you disable WZC, the sandisk works PERFECTLY! So now when I want to connect to a AP I just enable the WZC and soft-reboot... then when I'm in the car and wanna drive around, i disable the WZC, poke the PPC in the bum, and off I go... Haven't had a single moment since, that it didn't work. Just thought I mention this, cause there are more people like me that only HAVE the option of the Sandisk (since in The Netherlands thats the only SDIO that's being sold, and I HATE creditcards) Greets and have wun wardriving ![]() PS. My pocketpc is a MIO 168 Digiwalker thingie, (integrated GPS) |

I have the 3835, which is the same model, just from the "Compaq web store". I have the dual PCMCIA sleeve, with an Orinoco Gold card. I had to go this route because I use an external antenna, and none of the CF cards have the connector for it. I really wish they had a sleeve with a PCMCIA and a CF slot, because it would probably be a lot thinner than the dual PCMCIA... So if you want to use an external antenna, you have to use PCMCIA, and Orinoco is pretty much the way to go.. If you can live without it, you can get the much slimmer dual CF sleeve, and a CF WiFi card. So far theres a Netgear and a D-link that are reported to work. Linksys and Symbol also have CF cards out there.. Unfortunately the SD slot in our iPaqs only work with memory cards.. They don't support SDIO for the SD WiFi cards.Matt Last edited by TaZMaNiaK : 01-16-2005 at 05:53 PM. |
