I recently bought a single slot Compaq expansion sleeve for my iPaq (802.11b radio card) off www.mobileplanet.com for about $129 (new). Seemed to be a good price and comparable to those auctioning on eBay. They shipped right away and didn't screw me on the shipping charges.

I was in the same boat - I wanted to play with PCMCIA cards and the iPaq but couldn't really justify the price. Then I ran across this: http://www.semsons.com/comflastopcc.html I ordered one on 7/11 and it got here yesterday (7/15). Works like a charm. And no, that black part doesn't stick straight up. It's rubber and can actually be folded so that the card is laying flat agains the iPaq CF sleeve - pointing at the ground. This was a much better option - it's only $30 with shipping. Actually, getting my iPaq upand going with the wireless card brought me out here to see if I could get into stumbling. Looks like I need a different card for it. Any suggestions on the most cost effective one? |

I plan on getting this one, which is 150, but has the new features listed below such as the integrated screen protector that is similar to the ones that come with the ipaqs..
http://www.compaq.com/products/handh...ion_packs.html NEW! PC Card Expansion Pack Plus Part Number 249708-B21 With a PC Card Expansion Pack, you can purchase cards* that will: Increase the file storage space on your iPAQ Pocket PC. Access your company's wireless network (WLAN) for e-mail and Web browsing. Access the Internet wirelessly through the cellular phone system. It also includes an integrated screen protector and a rechargeable, removable Slim Battery to run your PC Cards or to extend the life of your iPAQ Pocket PC between charges. Also see: Optional additional batteries and battery charger. * Type II PC Cards that are compatible with the Pocket PC operating system. ![]()
