DHCP Release/Renew

found a handy tool called IPMgr from http://www.kelbran.com
for PocketPC 2002. It let's you do DHCP Release and Renew w/o having to unplug/plug in the WiFi card. Handy when you want to DHCP from a new AP quickly. Works especially well while stumbling :-)

Release / Renew

I know we've talked about IP manager in #netstumbler, and it's just too bloated if you're going to use it just for DHCP release/renew. 15$ for about 5 lines of code and an interface..

If you're looking for a nice, light, quick, and easy release/renew app, I should be releasing an app by the end of the weekend, to go on the PocketPC today page, and allow release/renew just by a tap

OpenSource of course

I just remembered: PPC2002 has some stuff that the original PPC 2000 didn't have when it came to networking.

That's why everyone has drive mapping for the PPCk2 stuff but only one company makes an ap that lets the original PPC 3.0 OS to map drives (www.vieka.com).

Would this be the reason why that ap you sent me doesn't work for me?

He's got the first 0.1 version up, so you can download it and install it, if you want. See: Transform Read the instructions you'll need to add some registry values.

transform coming back

Hey All

Sorry for the necro-posting.. Didn't want to start a new thread.

I was recently informed that my app, Transform, was actually being used by people So.. I'm in the process of bringing it back to life.

I've compiled it for PPC 2k3, and am currently waiting on success/fail responses.. since I don't have a PPC2k3 device myself. But, I'll be placing it back on my website where the original was: Transform

I hope it remains usefull. Any feedback (once it's back online) is welcome.

Aye, The CAB that's on there now is for PPC2k2(ARM) I'll probably put out version 0.3 this weekend, which will include the 2k3 version and new 2k2 version.

I don't have a PPC 2k3 machine.. so it'll always support 2k2.
