Hp 4700

I am new to this forum so sorry if this has been asked before.

I have used the normal Netstumbler on a laptop but I have a new toy and am trying the mini version on an Ipaq 4700 with built in WiFi.

Has anybody had any success with this setup, The Wifi bit works OK and I use it a lot at home and at work but ministumbler does not seem to see the WiFi

Any help would be cool and accepted with thanks

There is a README included with the program for a reason...

Since you can't seem to find it:
Official Ministumbler 0.4.0 Readme

Read the General Requirements and the Q1 and A1.

Question Ipaq 4700

I have an HP 4700 with a built in WiFi NIC, does anybody know what the actual chip set is /or card typei is used or has anybody got mini stumbler to work with one.

I have a feeling it is not compatable with ministumbler which is a pity as it is realy good at detecting WiFi at reasonable ranges and I have a Holux GPS that works great. It would be nice to marry up stumbler with the GPS and try to use it to mao all the local connections

What are we? You're personal R&D department? Why not try and tell us if it works.

I have a mantra I go by, and alot here will agree, behind every GREAT computer tech/engineer is a string of dead/fried computers.

That being said, why not see if it works and become a tech?

Think of it like a war, to win you must use weapons, weapons normally use some form of explosive powder, which discharges smoke.

Where there is smoke, there is fire... and how many people in this forum have flamethrowers?

I'll take the Louisville Slugger any day. An Al Kaline Special will work in a pinch.
