Smile MiniStumbler 0.4 cards V1

The MiniStumbler users have suffered long enough.
MiniStumbler 0.4 is now available for download here. Read the readme before downloading, if you like.
Noob bashers, you will have to adjust your attitudes to the new floods of FAQs that have not even been asked yet.

OH CRAP!!! My replacement screen still hasn't come in from Foxconn! No fair!! First this and when I get in to work, one of the guys will pobably be showing off his new Zaurus SL-6000! Oh well got them both downloaded. I'm sure the slash dot effect will hit soon and we won't be able to get it. Thanks for a really cool program! If it wasn't for you I wouldn't have spent hours beating my head against an 8 pound ruggedized laptop. Trying to wrap my head around linux enough to figure out how to get it to install and then compile software! Stumbling bug bit me hard!

Thanks Marius!

In case anyone has any concerns, this post in the NetStumbler release thread explains how WarDriving book is not out of date right after being published, as it cover 0.4.

Yes, how do you turn off the sounds? I don't mind it playing a sound when it finds something, but it plays a sound like every half second while scanning. My battery doesn't like it! Any way to kill that one?

Edit: I answered my own question, there are wave files in the windows dir that start with ns-signal-?.wav, if you rename or move them out of the windows dir, they don't play...

You can also simply change the Scripting option from "Default Script" to "No Scripting".

Playing a sound when an AP is detected?

If there a way to have ministumbler play a sound when it detects an AP? I'd like to be able to walk or drive with just an earphone then I can concentrate on driving only listening for a signal from ministumbler.
Just an idea, maybe for the next release?
Jeff
