Ministumbler and Dell Axim X50v

I installed Ministumbler v0.4.0 and noticed that it does not work with my brand new Dell Axim X50v. I was curious if there is another program or when ministumbler might support the new Axim?

%^&#!

Brilliant, that's all I needed. Dell charged me for an Axim X30, which doesnt exist now, and are offering me an X50 now.

Did you install it properly? And have you configured it? or are you genuinely sure it doesnt work ?

Exclamation

I just received my Axim X50v last week (returned my X30 for it) and can confirm that ministumbler does not work at all. Well, it runs, but there is no detection of the built-in WiFi card.

This seems to be a common problem with almost all WiFi products for the PPC and the X50v. I have WiFiFoFum working (but you can choose the device that you want to listen to), pocketWinc, and PhatNet. Anything and everything else I have tried fails to gather any data whatsoever.

It seems to me that there is a problem with the way the application is grabbing a device on the X50v.

Hmmm, can you say 'unsupported'? Get over it.

Why is it that everytime around here someone asks for help gatekeeper, you dont help? You are no help, so why do you bother posting? You're just a burden on the process of helping people . If you were to answer questions in a less rude manner, you'd be much more help than 3kb of a wasted SQL record in the backend of this forum.

WiFiFoFum is reported to work on there no problems,I cant try pocketWinc yet because I dont have the PDA. Hence why I'm checking into the issue, so I dont screw up buying it. But it seems everything else is working on it, unfortunately .

Ministumbler fixed the last Dell problem I've heard, so just give it time and the team will hopefully come up with a fix for it.

Awww. Little Diddums got hurt by an insult. Let's go ban the guy who retorted to a retarded comment.

I'm assuming half of the Aussie ISP's are blocked from NetStumbler, because Aussies piss you of gatekeeper? They must be doing something right. Or is it becuase you cant handle a little bit of criticism and have to have a cry about it

www.kleenex.com - Just for you gatey Available at your super market in boxes of 300

Delete this account to, I wont be back here. Ever. With people like you around, you destroy what little support this good program has.

Actually, no. I enjoy it. Had you been a little smarter...like not registered right away after being banned using an anonymous online.org source and not come right back to this thread, you might have made it. But alas...the penal colony mindset just holds on to some folks.

The couple of Aussies I've met, I've liked; but the general level of the ones coming in here... Well, it was summed up by a great man:

"Less Foster's. More books."

Just FYI, you can get the Dell 1180 card and ministumbler will work. I've verified that.
As an alternative I've been using WiFiFoFum and PocketWinC as both will work with the internal card.
Hopefully and update will comeout for ministumbler for this PDA. I almost made my boss buy me an X30 instead so that I could have WPA and ministumbler but I'm just using the 1180 instead.

Yeah I bought a CF card for my Axim X50v, and it works great with minstumbler.

I found if you want to use the internal WiFi, you have to use WiFiFoFum

My x50v will arrive tomorrow. I read around about the x50's lack of support before I bought it but with 640x480 and a 3.7 inch screen I couldnt help myself. I have read around a little and people say something about turning of WZC wireless zero configuration and it works. I will find out soon enough if not...its an Orinoco for me with 14db Yagi antenna from toxicranch. Is there a retail waveguide cantenna available? I dont want to build one because I cant measure to the hundreths to do it right. I dont care what it costs.
