Pocket Streets 2002 GPS 15sec Hack
Ok, Pocket Streets GPS updates every 15sec. THis SUCKS! Well this guy claims he changed it to 1 sec, 2 sec, and so on.
http://groups.google.com/groups?q=po...ss.com&rnum=10 I tried the hack and could not find the hex value he says is there. I did find the value in MapPoint2002 and the hack does work. In MapPoint look for "98 3A 00 00 53 57 6A" Ok so someone else try... TiGuy |

Which tool did you use to do the edit?
Years ago (back in the days of DOS) I'd have used debug, but things (and file sizes) have moved on since then.
Which tool did you use to (sorry) 'which tool WOULD you have used, IF you had made the change?' |

Nothing like raising an old post...
At any rate, I've searched my PocketStreets.exe and have been unable to find "983A". Now, I realize my iPaq3970 isn't a MIPS processor. So, the question is, has anyone implemented a hack on PocketStreets on other processors? |
