what's the best iPAQ that takes the PCMCIA sleeve?

Well, I'm finally fed up with my @migo enough to shell out money again. For compatability purposes with other SW I must run, I'm looking to run 2002 OS.

What's the latest, greatest iPAQ that will take the PCMCIA sleeve (regardless of OS)?

-Mc

p.s. does anyone know if Airmagnet runs on 2003?

Personally I like the 5455, but if you are just going to stumble, the 3955 is a good deal.

BTW, my 3765 uses a dual PCMCIA sleeve with extra battery. A CF GPS with a converter and a WL110 card are in it and working fine. The sleeve works for all 3600 thru 3900 series iPAQs.

Actually it also works on the 545X and 555X as well.

Kind of fun running the 5555 with both the iPAQ USB WLAN and an Orinoco WL110 card. And then I don't need to worry about the dumb power adapter for 5 volts.

The sleeves will work on all the iPaq's except the "new" body style 19xx and 41xx models.

great info... thanks guys. I've heard conflicting reports on whether it works or not (even on devices it fit on). I really like the 5555 and I like the idea of having WiFi even when I haven't brought my card along. The only cards I use are for NetStumbler and Airmagnet (thank you job). I'm not sure if Airmagnet works on 2003 but I think it should. The website says yah but I think it's referring to the latest 3.0 build, not 1.5 like I'm running.

The dual sleeve idea and adding a GPS card sounds S W E E T. I may have to consider my budget a little...

thanks again,

-Mc

p.s. with the new Smartphones coming out and usind SD Wi-Fi, I was hoping to just use that and hopefully a stumbler would be written for it. I'm still crossing my fingers!
